  1. 0:00A rollout kit arrives, and half the posters don't fit.
  2. 0:05A framed poster has four sizes: trim, bleed, the insert the hardware accepts, and the visible window. Audit each fixture: measure inside, not the outside frame, three times per axis.
  3. 0:19Then group fixtures by aspect ratio, not label. Two-by-three art forced into an 18 by 24 frame loses three inches, eleven percent of its height.
  4. 0:30Write one callout per size family: trim, bleed, measured window, safe area, trim tolerance and squareness. If you don't write a tolerance, the vendor's default applies.
  5. 0:42Finally, check nesting before you lock sizes. On a 54-inch roll, a 26-inch poster fits two across; at 28 inches, only one. Fewer families mean fewer files and proofs.
  6. 0:55Send your fixture list with your quote request.
