  1. 0:00Before you order custom paperboard hardcovers, settle four things.
  2. 0:05First, the build: board for stiffness, printed wrap turned round its edges, a separate block joined by endpapers. Hardcover doesn't name the binding.
  3. 0:16Second, size the usable page, not the case, and count pages and sheets separately. Test your pens on the actual paper and check the reverse.
  4. 0:26Third, design on the producer's case template: front, spine, back, hinges and turn-ins. Keep any foil or embossing on its own layer; judge finishes on physical samples.
  5. 0:38Fourth, agree criteria, then approve one complete sample: corners, hinges, writing, color, measured size. Keep the signed spec with it for reorders.
  6. 0:50Here's a look inside our factory. Book blocks move along the line, cover boards are stamped and guided by hand, then finished hardcovers like these are shrink-wrapped.
  7. 1:00Share your page size, quantity, cover artwork and arrival date.
  8. 1:05Then request a quote built on your specification.
